Wheelchair basketball will be staged at ExCeL for this year's Sainsbury's 2012 School Games. 60 athletes will represent six mixed teams from England North, England Central, England South, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.
The wheelchair basketball teams for the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games have been selected following regional and national talent development programmes in each of the participating nations.
Ben Sneesby, 17 from High Wycombe has earned himself a place in the England South team at the Games. He said, "I am delighted to have been selected for the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games, it is a real honour.
"To be competing at an Olympic venue before the Games this summer is an amazing privilege. I hope that I play well and I always play to win and to the best of my ability."
The Sainsbury's 2012 School Games is the highlight of Ben's sporting career so far; "One of the things that I am most looking forward to is feeling part of a great event and competing at a high level in my sport. It doesn't get much better than that."
Gregg Warburton will be one of the players out to stop Ben and the England South team taking gold at the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games.
The 15-year old from Leigh in Lancashire will play for England North and said, "I am very proud and excited to compete at this level and I am really looking forward to the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games.
"It will be the most memorable moment of my sporting career so far and knowing that some of the greatest athletes in sport will be there not long after is very inspiring."
ExCeL will also host badminton, fencing, volleyball, judo, gymnastics and table tennis at the Sainsbury's 2012 School Games.
